Sue D'Elia Hi! I’m Mrs. D’Elia, Hooper Avenue’s K-5 Art Teacher and the proud curator of our Artsonia gallery. I’ve been teaching in Toms River for 19 years, with 18 of those years right here at “the Hoop!” I was born and raised in Toms River, NJ, and it was at Silver Bay Elementary where I first discovered my love for art — thanks to the inspiration and support of my favorite art teacher. I believe that art is an essential part of every child’s education — especially in today’s world. It supports both learning and social-emotional growth in powerful ways.
