Meet the Teachers  at Hillsborough Elementary School (K-4) (Belle Mead, New Jersey)

Laurel Suk I have been teaching in Hillsborough for 30 years. I graduated from Kean University with a BA in Fine Arts education. Since then I have attained my MA in Education from Marys Grove. I am a life long learner and have taken over 30 more credits through TCNJ, Gratz and The Art of Education University. I feel it is important to continue learning and growing as an educator and artist. I am a member of AENJ and have presented hands on workshops at many conventions. My medium of choice is clay. That is why in ev ... read moreery grade I teach students a clay project. I find this medium versatile. The techniques used in clay build students dexterity and sequencing skills. It is important to me that students learn art history as well as experience a variety of mediums in the art room.
