Lisa Poulin
Hi! My name is Mrs. Lisa Poulin. This is my 17th year of teaching Art, but my 1st year as a Blue Grass Wildcat! I teach all K-6 art in the school. I love the variety and excitement of kids at these ages. Their enthusiasm and creativity make my job fun.
When I am not at school I am spending time with my husband, two daughters and my step-son. My hobbies include painting, drawing, canoeing, softball and spending time with my family. I want to thank you for sharing your children with me. If you have any questions or comments, please don't hesitate to make contact! Sincerely, Mrs. Lisa Poulin Blue Grass K-6 Art Teacher poulinl@davenport.k12.ia.us |

I've been teaching art for 9 years in the Davenport Schools District. This is my fifth year at Blue Grass Elementary, and I couldn't be more excited to be working with such wonderful students in a great community! I am a jack of all trades when it comes to creative endeavors. At home I paint with acrylics and do everything from abstract art, to landscapes, still life, and portraits. I practice freelance makeup artistry and specialize in beauty and Special Effects work (which I LOVE showing to the students to encourage them to pursue their creative passions). Please feel free to look around and contact me with any questions or concerns :)

I started teaching art in 1995 right after getting out of college. My major was Elementary Education with a minor in art. At the time I thought I would teach art for a few years then move to a classroom. I love teaching the creativity of different artforms to kids so much, I don't think I could teach anything else.
I'm married with 3 children who I adore. I'm very close with my family and love being here at Blue Grass. It's a great school with wondeful kids and great parental support. My art motto is, Effort is as good as talent. (At least at this level.) |
