Erika Montgomery
I recieved a BA in Art from the Universtiy of Texas. I have been teaching Elementary Art since 2001. Prior to that I taught 3rd Grade General Ed and took some time off from working to raise my first child for 3 years. I love teaching young kids about different art techniques, art history, and about cultural and curriculum connections to Art. The most fun is being able to make connections between Art and Science. My ultimate goal is to teach kids to express themselves without fear of being wrong in my classroom. I believe making mistakes and then redesigning is the truest way to learn, and creating art is one of the best ways to experiment with our ideas.
