Artist Statement-
I was born and raised in Medford, WI. I went to Holy Rosary Elementary School were I have fond memories of creating flipbooks, figures out of old telephone wire and carving into soap. The days we had art class I remember going home so excited and wanting to try that same project at home. Art excited me!

During my high school career, I won an UW-Greenbay Art Camp Scholarship from the Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum in Wausau, WI. This told me I had a special gift and I should follow it.
After High School, I attended the University of Wisconsin-Stout exploring the interior/industrial/graphic design fields. I enjoyed all the fields making it hard to focus on just one. I needed to decide how to satisfy my passion for the arts and yet make a living.
My last two years of college I spent at Mount Senario College in Ladysmith, WI. Where I could study the arts and played basketball and softball. A second love in my life-sports. Finally the perfect fit to my life. I graduated with a K-12 art education degree and a minor in Ceramics.
Currently, I'm teaching Preschool-12th grade in Pepin, WI. I love my job. I get to inspire artists from the very young to high school everyday. It is a dream come true.
My artwork is influenced by: my travels, art history passion, my husband and all my family members who mean a lot to me.
Art makes me happy therefore I am. :)
