I have been teaching art at Cotton Creek and Matthews Middle school since 2014. Everyday is an adventure with these wonderful kiddos!
I aim to teach through partnerships with my students focusing on their interests and connections to our art standards, through all four areas of art education: creating, responding, presenting, and reflecting, I want all my students to be active learners, no matter their artistic skill level or background, who greet challenges with an “I can do” attitude. I believe students can gain problem solving and 21st century skills that will help them become active empathetic members of their chosen communities through a diverse, globally connected art program. |
