Amy Siefken
This is my 6th year teaching in Coal City Unit District 1, and my fourth at the Middle School. I believe the art classroom is one of the busiest and most exciting classrooms in the school. Students actively engage in critical thinking skills, problem solving skills, and communication skills as we work through a vigorous art curriculum. There is much freedom of choice as my student artists work through each media unit. Writing about our art and responding to other artwork is a large part of our curriculum in addition to all of the studio work we do.
