Vanessa Johnson
I have been teaching art for 17 years. I have a BFA in Ceramics from Temple University's Tyler School of Art, where I also took a teaching certification program and received a minor in art history. I have a graduate certificate in culturally responsive pedagogy. I also studied art and carnival arts at the University of the West Indies, Trinidad and Tobago campus. I have taught in the Philadelphia area and Kansas City area, as well as in Ghana, West Africa, for 8 years. I returned to teaching in the USA in 2023. I love helping students to be creative through choice-based art and bring our learning to the real world.
