Meet the Teachers  at Cedar Springs Elementary School (House Springs, Missouri)

Melanie Robinson I have been teaching art since 1995. Since 2001 I have been teaching art at CSE! I greatly enjoy teaching art and LOVE seeing what all of my students create and where their art leads them. I am very involved with the Missouri Art Education Association (MAEA) and National Art Education Association (NAEA). I have been the secretary for MAEA since 1996 and was their registration chairperson for 5 years as well. They have honored me as Missouri Art Educator of the Year two times (2003 and 2020). I have be ... read moreen honored at the National level being NAEA's Western Region Elementary Art Educator of the Year in 2014. I also write articles and lessons for a few of the art education publications and enjoy highlighting student work there (School Arts Magazine, Scholastic Arts Magazine, and Show Me Art). I try to make sure my students get recognition by participating in many shows around the state and even around the nation (when possible) each and every school year. Send compliment
