Stephanie Baertlein
I earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Art with a concentration in Ceramics from Florida Atlantic University, bring 15 years of teaching experience, and have completed 12 graduate credits in education. Teaching has pushed me to be creative and adaptable to the unique ways each student learns, while also helping me better understand my strengths as both an educator and an individual.
Having taught in South Florida, I am experienced in working with diverse classrooms across a wide range of developmenta ... read morel levels, abilities, cultures, and backgrounds. I value these differences and strive to create an inclusive environment where each student is supported and treated as an individual. I also enjoy learning from my students, reflecting on my own perspectives, and continuously growing in my practice.
I am always eager to learn, open to new ideas, and willing to take on challenges. My passion for education comes from a genuine love of learning and a desire to help students discover their strengths. I aim to encourage, motivate, and inspire my students while sharing my enthusiasm for the arts.
I currently serve as the Art Department Chair and an Art Teacher at Edgewood High School, where I teach a broad range of courses, including Digital Arts Foundations, Visual Arts Foundations, 2D II–III, 3D I–II, Photography II–III, Advanced Art, and AP Portfolio. Earlier in my time at Edgewood, I also served as Yearbook Advisor for four years.
