Cicely Hanner is a devoted educator and artist, dedicated to nurturing creativity and academic achievement in students. With a background in education, art, and technology integration, she brings expertise and innovation to the classroom. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Arts from the University of Pittsburgh, supplemented by an Elementary Education Certification from Point Park University refining her talents in both art and education. Cicely has held various teaching roles throughout her career, showcasing versatility and dedication to student success. From her early years as a Kindergarten Co-teacher to her roles teaching Kindergarten through second grade, fifth-grade math, and now the STEAM art Teacher/STEAM Coordinator. She incorporates subjects such as STEAM and Black History into her art lessons, reflecting her commitment to providing all-inclusive learning. Beyond the classroom, Cicely now serves as the Head Coach for Girls on the Run, empowering young girls through physical activity and mentorship. She contributed to the Foster Grandparent Advisory Board and a P.R.I.D.E Pop-Up Artist, sharing her passion for art with others. Cicely also expanded her influence as an adjunct professor at the University of Pittsburgh. She teaches aspiring educators to integrate art and music into elementary classrooms, emphasizing creative expression and cultural enrichment.
