My name is Tonya Klein. I have been teaching in Pickens County, Georgia, since 1999 in the fields of social studies, computer science, and art. I currently teach art to 7th and 8th graders at Pickens Junior High School. Seeing a child (or any person) realize for the first time their ability to create art is the best part of being an art teacher. So many people believe they aren't capable of art because they don't feel a natural instinct for it. Anybody can create art. The hardest part sometimes is just convincing them to try.
