Cheri Cira My name is Cheri Cira and I love teaching art to the high school students and 5th graders at Carolina International School. I am a transplant to Charlotte, NC, originating from New York. I received a BFA in Fine Art and my Masters of Art in Teaching from State University of Oswego. Before teaching I worked for many years as a professional artist, graphic designer, interior designer and even worked a short stint as a behind the scenes designer for HGTV. I have a great family consisting of my husband, five children, and five pets!When I'm not teaching kids at CIS, I love spending as much time as I can at home in my art studio. Sophia Olson My name is Sophia Olson and this is my fourth year teaching K-5 art at Carolina International School. I live in Concord with my husband and our animals. I attended Oberlin College where I double-majored in Studio Art and Jewish Studies, with minors in Religion and Gender Studies. I taught first grade for two years before joining CIS, and absolutely love working with students of all ages to help them discover what inspires them. This way we can go back and look at work we have created, seeing our journey as artists throughout the year.
