I taught 5th and 6th grade reading at Electra for 7 years and was able to slowly integrate art on our campus last year for 3rd-6th grade students. This was the first time an art class had been offered on the elementary campus. The administration was extremely supportive and felt there was a strong need for an art program on our campus and asked me to teach art full time to all Kindergarten through 6th grade students. I can't wait for the new year in my new roll as a visual fine arts teacher. I love my art classes and enjoy seeing the excitement on all of my students’ faces when they walk through my door!
