Meet the Teachers  at Change Academy Intermediate School (Lake Ozark, Missouri)

	Holley Smothers Holley grew up in Columbia, MO. She earned her Bachelor's of Science degree in Education at William Jewell College in Liberty, MO. Her certification is K-12 Art and Physical Education. From Lincoln University in Jefferson City, MO. Holley earned her Master's degree in secondary education with an emphasis in curriculum and instruction. She continued to take classes and has over 32 hours of graduate credit past her Master's degree. Holley has taught K - 12 Art, middle school Health, and College Physical Education. The last 22 years of her teaching career she taught Art and Health at Thomas Jefferson Middle School in Jefferson City, MO. Holley has been recognized for her work with students and has been awarded the following educational awards: 2004 Missouri Middle School Association's Central Region Teacher of the Year, 2005 Missouri Art Education Association's Middle Level/Junior High Art Educator of the Year, 2006 Missouri Art Education Association's Art Educator of the Year, and 2007 National Art Education Association's Western Region Middle Level / Junior High Art Educator of the Year. In May 2015 she retired and moved to the Lake of the Ozarks. While looking for a meaningful position outside of Public School Education she found Change Academy.
