I attended Fayette Academy K-12 and am an FA graduate. This is my 26th year teaching here. My first 8 years at this school, I taught Elementary Art 1st-6th Grades with one year including MS Art (7th-8th Grades). I transitioned to 2nd Grade for 6 years but have been back in Art since 2015. My experience teaching Art includes MS (6th/7th Grades) and Elementary Art. 2026-2027 classes range from PK2 through 5th Grades.
The goal of our classroom is that while the students have fun and relax in the art sett ... read moreing, that they also learn concepts, skills, and techniques to create their own works.
I would like to thank everyone for their support of this program through site views, comments to the students, and purchases. 1st Grade learns to navigate the site & 2nd Grade learns to upload their own artwork in 2nd semester. The 3rd-5th Grade students work well within Classroom Mode from uploading their own artwork to expressing their own thoughts through the Art Title and Artist Statement.
(The years that I taught MS, students would work within the site to upload work, create Art Titles and Statements, and could also work remotely when necessary through this site, too.)
Artsonia provides a lasting way for families and myself as the teacher to view the progression of each student's artwork throughout the elementary years and MS.
