Gemma Flavin
I am an Art Educator and Artist and have taught grades Pre-K-8 for 35 years while also creating and exhibiting artwork in Rockport, Essex, Gloucester and Boston. Inspiration comes from the ocean and the gorgeous colors that surround me on beautiful Cape Ann. The ever changing ocean tides, textures, light and color combinations weave their way into my artwork like a pattern from the world around me. My true love is working with bright, vibrant, and whimsical color combinations and patterns, while utilizing acrylic paint, watercolor, polymer clay, dyed wool and molten glass rods.
I was very fortunate to be named the Massachusetts Art Education Association's 2015-2016 Special Education Art Educator of the Year. |
