Marcella Fain
Hello, my name is Marcella Fain. I have been painting and drawing since I was a child. While other kids were watching cartoons or outside playing, I was in a ceramics or drawing class. I followed my passion to the University of Illinois, where I majored in Art Education and received a bachelor’s degree in Fine and Applied Arts. Eager to use my degree, I went right into the classroom teaching for a Chicago Public High School. A couple of years later, I found myself falling in love and moving to the Nort ... read morehwest Suburbs. I taught in elementary schools in Cary and McHenry. I moved back to high school and taught at Zion Benton High School, and Lakes Community High School. My husband and I started a family, and I decided to stay home with my children. In my spare time, I painted a variety of murals in children's rooms. I am now excited to be back as an Art Teacher at St. Francis de Sales Parish School. My Artistic passion has always been painting, drawing, and Ceramics. I love to see the student’s projects grow and develop from creation to completion. This year I am thrilled to be able to share our creations with you here on artsonia.
