Meet the Teachers  at Laurel Park Elementary (Apex, North Carolina)

Hi! Thanks so much for visiting our gallery on Artsonia!
I work with 950 fabulous artists in grades Kindergarten through 5th grade at Laurel Park ES. Students are given art assignments that follow the Essential Standards for Fine Arts in North Carolina and integrate the Common Core. I put a strong emphasis on artistic process and choice making in art. We work in a modified choice style, so students have opportunities to explore many art materials within each project.

My background is in Art Education (M.A.E., University of New Mexico) and Fine Art (BFA, Savannah College of Art and Design). I am a National Board Certified Teacher (2012) in Early and Middle Childhood Art.
