Yoorim Lee
I am an art teacher who believes that art education is essential for the education of all students. With the current education system that lacks hands on experience, art education fosters dexterity of students. Education should address all of the multiple intelligences that students possess. Art education provides students opportunities to acquire not only the basic thinking skills that are applicable to learning in all other subject areas but also fosters higher order thinking skills. Students are developing both verbal and nonverbal skills, which are vital to lead a successful life.
