I am a graduate of the University of Iowa with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art with a minor in Psychology and also the University of Illinois at Chicago with a Master of Arts degree in Art Therapy. I have been home with our kids for the past 10 years, so it has been some time since I have been in the creative setting with young learners. The Visual Arts Curriculum will provide hands on learning as I challenge them to cultivate their creative thinking skills, problem solving skills and how to grow an idea into something tangible. It is my goal to help the children increase their knowledge of the arts, appreciate craftsmanship and build their confidence to be a maker that is proud to share their creation. The Visual Arts can move you, can make you see something you wouldn’t otherwise see. It can create a feeling and it can express a feeling. It can tell a story and it can record history. You can find answers, you can find focus in art. And if God didn’t make it...an Artist did, literally everything we see! The EARTH without ART is just...EH. I am looking forward to making art with your children and making it a fantastic year!
