Katherine Friend
My name is Katie Friend, and I teach art at a kindergarten only school in Helena-West Helena. I graduated in 2006 from Furman University with an art major. I joined an organization called Teach for America, a program under Americorps that seeks to bridge the educational gap by placing highly qualified college graduates in urban and rural school districts. Our goal is to provide an excellent education to our students in hopes of guiding them towards a more promising future. This is my second year teaching art, and my second year working at Woodruff Kindergarten School.
