I have a Bachelor's and Master's in Art Education, and this will be my 16th year teaching. I utilize a variety of media in my personal artwork, including glass, coiled baskets, as well as various drawing, painting, collage, and mixed-media compositions. I enjoy hiking, photography, and spending time with my family.
Our classroom studio is centered around a TAB approach, or "teaching for artistic behavior". At WWHS, visual art students work as artists do, experimenting with a variety of concepts, media, techniques, and styles by creating and reflecting on personal art. We explore the work of others via discussion and critique, participating in an artist community through observation, feedback, and collaboration. |
