Biography

Mrs. Orr – Art Teacher
I’m so excited to share my 23rd year of teaching art here at Palmyra Elementary! Every day, I get to help students discover their creativity, experiment with new materials, and grow as artists. I believe everyone is an artist—you just need the right space and encouragement to let your imagination shine!
I love exploring all forms of art with my students, from painting and sculpture to printmaking and digital design. My personal favorite has always been printmaking, though lately I’ve been diving deeper into painting. In our art room, we learn not only how to create, but also why artists create—through stories, art history, and hands-on discovery.
Outside of school, I enjoy painting, teaching canvas art classes, and trying out new techniques to bring fresh ideas back to my classroom. My goal is for every student to leave art class feeling confident, inspired, and proud of what they can create.
