Biography

For me, teaching is an art. I can't think of anything more important than teaching that I could be doing with my time. I love the arts and would gladly spend most of my free time being creative, artistic, or enjoying the art produced by others. I grew up thinking that I would become a performer, entertaining and hopefully delighting others. I am so lucky to have a career where I get to use all of those interests and abilities. I perform every single day. My students are my audience and I know that it is often through the arts that I am able to engage them, encouraging them to learn and be the best they can be. It is exciting for me to be by their side when they realize that they can share their learning and knowledge through an artistic project. I am so grateful to all of my present (and former) students and their parents for helping to make my professional life so rich and meaningful.
