Biography

I have been an elementary art teacher for 29 years and love working with kids. They are most certainly as creative as I could ever imagine on my own and daily inspire me to be the best artist I can be. I graduated from SEMO in 1992 with a K-12 Art Education Bachelors Degree and finished my Master's Degree from SBU in 2008. I love the small school setting as I get to see my kids grow as artists from their beginnings as kindergarteners through the 12th grade.
I do my best to encourage them to think, try, make mistakes and learn from them, work efficiently and diligently and never say can't...I try to make it fun and educational, build character, teach them to "be nice" and clean up your own mess. Hopefully, these things will help them in their lives in and out of the classroom.
I try to remain artful and open to change. I learn something new every day...sometimes, whether I want to or not. :)
