Biography
I LOVED college. I LOVED studying art. Many times, I was up all night with other art students creating or finishing projects. I made many friends and had many wonderful experiences. I had a part time job at an art store and I used my discount to buy all of the supplies for my classes. I could not have paid for college without scholarships, student loans and my part-time job.

While I was in college, I started a graphic design business. I would charge people to design their business cards and logos. I did that for a few years and then started working at a big publishing company that created magazines about computers. I worked as a Sales and Marketing Assistant and did graphic design on the side. After a few years, I started a consulting business. I helped well-known high tech publishing companies get "start up" magazines up and running. Some of these magazines were successful and some were not. Some of the exciting jobs I held were: Office Manager, Events Planner and Conference Coordinator. My last consulting job in high tech publishing was for an internet search engine "start up". I worked as an Operations Manager (someone who keeps all the chaos organized).

It wasn't until later that I decided to become a teacher. One of my good friends convinced me to look into it. I observed her art classes and I liked what I saw. I applied for scholarships and worked during the day so I could go to school at night. It was very challenging but I'm happy I chose this profession. I like working with young people and I love what I do!

I continue to study art with many art masters. I continue to learn new techniques and work on the techniques that I love. You can check out some of my artwork on my website: www.gracielaeulate.com. I really believe we create our own adventures in life.
