Biography

Hello, my name is Zena Gray. I have been married to my husband since 2019, and we have 2 amazing children. I was born and raised in the town of Denison, IA. Growing up, I was involved in my community through 4-H and FFA. I showed my dogs, horses, and artwork through 4-H and showed my horses through FFA. In high school, I gave horseback riding lessons to young children. This is where my love of teaching began. I have always had a passion for art from childhood to adulthood. My first teaching job was as a special education teacher. I loved every minute of it, but knew I wanted something different. I now teach at the Charter Oak- Ute Community School District as the K-8th art teacher. I could not imagine my career elsewhere, as I love the job and the district's community.
