Biography

Mrs. Gerlach has been teaching at Covington Exempted Village Schools for the past ten years. She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Art Education from Bowling Green State University in 2016 and is currently working toward her Master’s degree in Art Education through The Art of Education University. She currently lives in Kettering. Mrs. Gerlach is passionate about helping students explore creativity, build confidence, and express themselves through art. In her classroom, students are encouraged to take artistic risks, experiment with a variety of materials and techniques, and discover their own unique artistic voice in a supportive and welcoming environment. In addition to teaching art, Mrs. Gerlach manages both the Covington Elementary Art Club and the Covington Middle School Art Club. She also serves as the advisor for the Elementary Student Council and the Middle School Student Council, helping students create a positive school environment for everyone while promoting Bucc Pride and leadership throughout the school community.
