Biography

Hello! A little bit about me...
I am a Botetourt native & a graduate of James River High School, class of 06! I attended the University of Mary Washington to complete my bachelor's degree in Studio Art. My husband and I are pet parents, with two spoiled dogs, a rotating flock of chickens, and three cats.
Other than the Artsonia website, you won't find me on social media. I prefer to keep my life and classroom somewhat low-tech to encourage a better focus on the physical world. I am yet to specify a particular media preference as an artist, but gravitate towards tangible arts, in particular painting and pottery. My goal is for the JR Art room to expose students to a wide variety of artistic processes, while allowing them the freedom to choose where they are most comfortable finding their artistic voice.
