Biography

My favorite thing in the world is to hear about my students going home and making more art. There's that happy buzz of possibilities from learning something new. I design my classroom environment as a creative community space where artists can learn new things, explore the world and collaborate with other artists. My motto is "Get Excited and Make Things!"

I recieved my BFA in Animation from Pratt Institute of Art and Design and my MA in Art Ed at Kean University. I've worked in the animation industry for big names and independent projects, both as a conceptual/story artist and stop-motion puppet fabricator. Right now I really enjoy painting, creative writing, customizing dolls, and creating miniatures. I love sharing my passion with my students and hope they find their "Thing" too!
