Biography

Megan Wood is the Preschool to Grade 5 Art Teacher at Raffles American School Malaysia since 2018. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Slippery Rock University and a K­-12 Teachers Certificate from Carlow University. Megan fell in love with travel and learning about other cultures during her college years, and these experiences led her to pursue international teaching. She taught elementary art for 3 years in a British International School in the country of Qatar. Megan has also acquired a certificate in TEFL and worked closely with Special Education Students for two years. She believes that every student can create, and she believes it is the teacher’s duty to find their interests and lead them through the path of developing their skills. Megan enjoys using the arts as a way to interpret her emotions through drawing, painting, photography, and poetry writing.
