Biography

I grew up in Richmond, TX and attended LCISD schools, graduating from B.F. Terry High School in 2000. I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Studio Art from the University of Texas in Austin in 2004 and then went on to obtain a Master of Art Education degree from Texas Tech University in 2011. After teaching art at Foster High School for 7 years, I decided to take a little time off to focus on my growing family. My two children, Avery (11) and Austin (9) both attend Holy Rosary School, thus following the Kocich family tradition of 2 generations. Not only do I teach grades Pre-K3 through 8th at Holy Rosary, but I also teach painting to people of all ages and abilities for my mobile art party business, Parties to Gogh. I am thrilled to be able to utilize my passion for art by creating fun and educational lessons for my students, including my own children!
