Meet Amy Johnson

Biography
Amy Chapman Johnson studied art at Drake University and the University of South Carolina. In 1992 she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in art education with a studio concentration in ceramics. In 2000 she received a Master of Education degree in special education (learning disabilities) from the University of Charleston, where she was named Outstanding M. Ed. Student in her major.
Mrs. Johnson has taught visual art at Bishop England High School since 1994. Past students include present day architects, graphic artists, web designers, interior designers, visual effects artists, landscape architects, and fine artists.
Mrs. Johnson is a past executive board member of the Mount Pleasant Artists Guild.
Accomplishments include exhibition in the Columbia College High School Art Teacher's Exhibit and acceptance to the NAEA Convention Electronic Gallery. Her art work has been shown in group exhibitions in Washington, D.C, with the Mount Pleasant Artists Guild, and at the College Board office in Atlanta. Past commissioned and exhibited art includes drawing, acrylics, watercolor paintings, portraits, painted furniture and flower pots, murals, illustration and photography.
