Biography
Hello, everyone!

My name is Anne Ciaverella, and I earned my Bachelor's degree in Art Education (K-12) at Penn State University, which is the number one school for Art Education on the East Coast and number two in the nation. Teaching Art to kids has been my dream job since I was in high school after having a wonderful art teacher myself at Bishop Guilfoyle, whose name is Mrs. Jana Sidler.

Art has always been a source of confidence and identity for me. Since I was adopted at a very young age, growing up I struggled a lot with my own identity. Art was something I found great confidence in, and it was something that my family encouraged but did not introduce to me. When I would create a successful piece of art, I realized that it gave me great satisfaction and self acceptance as I continued to create more and more artwork. Since I had these confidence/identity struggles as a high school student, and eventually came to a point of acceptance of my own identity within the high school age through art, I had decided in high school that I wanted to work with people of that same age group and use art as a way to help build confidence and a stronger sense of identity in every child.

I am excited to continue to showcase each of Penn Cambria's student artwork as I can, and I am blessed to work with such wonderful kids.

Thank you.
