Biography

Kim DeKay received her BFA (1998) and MA (Art Education, 2009) from The Ohio State University. After one year working in corporate America, went on to get her K-12 Teaching Certification in the Visual Arts. In 2001 Mrs. DeKay began teaching High School Art for the Bloom-Carroll Local School District and continues to do so. She married her wonderful and talented husband, Chris, in September of 2000. They live in Baltimore, Ohio with their son Evan (one totally awesome kid) and a menagerie of pets. Her interests include playing the trumpet and soprano cornet, quilting, every type of art and ceramics, illustration, and learning from other artists. Kim is a member of Eagle Rock Church in Pickerington, Ohio as well as a member of the Brass Band of Columbus.
