Biography

I am the Art Teacher for Westpine Middle School in Sunrise, FL. I believe that Art has the power to inspire, motivate and build bridges to success. I have worked with children for the past 12 years in New York City and Florida. I was named Teacher of the Year for Westpine Middle School for 2014/15 and for Bair Middle School during the 2010/11 school year. I was nominated for Art Teacher of the Year for Broward County in 2009. I also work as an Art Education Consultant, bringing mural art to community partners throughout South Florida. I am proud and honored to be able to make a living teaching children how to think deeply and make beautiful art.
