Biography
Graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University (Richmond, VA) with a Bachelors of Fine Art in Art Education and a Masters of Science in Administration from Trinity University (Washington, DC) in Education Administration. Before being a teacher he was a graphic artist for a printer in Richmond, Virginia. Wanting to give back to the community and still stay focused on the arts he refocused his career and began teaching in the DC Public Schools during the 1999-2000 school year. Beginning in the 2013-14 school year, he will begin working towards a masters degree in Art Education from the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida.
Through my teaching I have been afforded multiple opportunities to showcase my work and the work of my students. In recent years I have focused on the work of my students, whose work has been displayed in airports, National Galleries, courtrooms and other municipal building in and around our Nation’s Capital. I currently spend my time teaching the students of Washington DC so that they may be afforded the opportunities to express themselves and communicate their inner most feelings through the imagery that they are able to conjure up.
He currently resides in Waldorf, Maryland with his wife Charvonne and their 4 girls.
