Biography

Visual art is a universal language. It captures the various meanings of life and our world without having to say a word. As an art teacher of twenty years, I have learned that this universal language is essential to a growing child. The countless educational values learned in art carries over to other areas of curriculum and into life. Through teaching, I guide my students to solve problems by thinking creatively as well as to manage mediums to create a unique piece of art. I show them that art is an outlet for expressing their individualities. My ultimate goal for my students is for them to trust their abilities through practice and decision making. I encourage them to use the universal language of visual arts in order to obtain their artistic goals and further - making great life choices.
