Thank you for visiting Matunuck Elementary School’s Visual Arts & Design gallery on Artsonia & supporting the arts. The money generated through Artsonia will help purchase art supplies for the school. Art lessons at each level are varied to nurture curiosity & creativity, as well as meet varying skills, interest levels and abilities of all students. All students use both traditional and innovative media, tools, techniques, & processes in order to experience the process of creative problem solving & make what they imagine visible. They learn that Visual Arts & Design offer a powerful tool for expression and communication. The lessons help students understand that people creatively express values and ideas of human experience, community, and civilization through Visual Art & Design concepts. Finally, students apply what they learn to reflect on and evaluate the work of self and others. Your encouragement of their efforts is appreciated.
