The students in Ms Bita’s 3 art classes each produced a collaborative piece.

The idea was to contribute to something that’s bigger than themselves and to emphasize the importance of working together – while still apart – physically.

Each student received and drew one section of an image that was then brought together to create a whole piece of art.

The 2nd period 6th graders created the image of Mount Rushmore showing the faces of George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt and Abraham Lincoln, surrounded by the beauty of the Black Hills of South Dakota. It tells the story of the growth and development of this country.

The 6th period 6th graders created "The Statue of Liberty Enlightening the World" which was a gift of friendship from the people of France to the United States and is recognized as a universal symbol of freedom and democracy.

The 7th period 7th & 8th graders created The Golden Gate Bridge; following decades of public calls to connect San Francisco to its neighbors across the mile-wide Golden Gate, the bridge was built which was not only a technical masterpiece but also a picture-perfect landmark.

All 3 collaborative art pieces represented how together they created something unique and memorable.
