Students folded, and folded, and folded origami then glued them down to create wonderful designs showing radial symmetry. Unlike line symmetry, radial symmetry has multiple lines of symmetry and “radiates” from the center out. Students were taught three different origami folds: hat, kite, and samurai. As long as the origami was symmetrical, they could incorporate more folds into their work.
