Unit B Still Life

Unit B students learned about what a still life is (and what a still life isn't), and how to create a good composition. Each table was given a variety of objects they had to work together to arrange, so each student had a pleasing composition from their own seat. Step 1: Create multiple sketches of their still life, being careful to fill the page, remember where their table line was, be mindful of proportion and position, and trying not to be too detailed. Step 2: Choose one sketch to outline with a thin paintbrush and acrylic paint. Step 3: Colorize their still life using either watercolors or chalk pastels.
