Bisa Butler Inspired Portraits by 4/5 graders at Creston

I am so proud of 4/5 graders choosing subjects, studying values on the face, and creating these mixed media portraits in honor of Black History Month. There is such a variety of results with all of the ways we found to think about people and show who they are in colors, patterns, lines, and even text. These are the students who made it to the "finish line," even documenting their art (an often under-met national art standard).
