“Blooming For God: New Life In Christ” ????
My students had so much fun creating these beautiful chinoiserie vases filled with orchids inspired by Mrs. Green Art / Art Baby. This collaborative project gave us the opportunity to explore all the elements of art and principles of design while creating something meaningful and beautiful together.
One of our biggest focuses was contrast — not just in color, value, and design, but in life itself. We talked about how, when we have a new life in Christ, we are called to live differently and stand in contrast to the world around us. Just as bright colors and dark values help artwork stand out, our lives should reflect the light, love, and truth of Christ.
For my younger students, we focused on butterflies, symmetry, and transformation. They decorated beautiful spring scenes filled with blooming flowers, green grass, and colorful butterflies while learning how spring is a season of renewal and new life. We talked about how a butterfly transforms, just as our hearts are transformed when we accept Christ as our Savior. Through this project, students were reminded that Jesus renews us and helps us grow into something beautiful for Him. ????
I’m so proud of the creativity, teamwork, and thoughtful conversations that took place during these projects. These blooms and butterflies are such a beautiful reminder that through Christ we are made new. ???
