5th-grade artists explored the Tingatinga style of painting in Tanzania, Africa. Students looked at the bold colors and unique style started by Edward Tingatinga in 1968. Inspired by these beautiful paintings, students chose an African animal to research. After learning about their animal, students created contour line drawings from observing images on their chosen animal. Students were then asked to add color to their drawings using whatever materials they had available at home during our online learning environment.
