3-5 Pixel Portraits

The pixel portrait project combined creativity and technology by engaging students in the creation of digital self-portraits using Pixilart.com. Aligned with the arts curriculum, this activity not only developed students' artistic skills but also integrated elements of technology and self-expression. Students explored the basics of digital art, including pixel art techniques, color theory, and composition, while gaining a deeper understanding of their own identity. This project encouraged cross-disciplinary learning and fostered a connection between art and technology that expands on our unit of study of self portraiture.
