Visual Narrative

We explored the art of Romare Bearden and specifically his collage work. Finding that collage is artwork made of other images being brought together, and in this focus utilizing cut and torn paper. We then discussed the idea of what a visual narrative is with the understanding that visual represents to see, and narrative is a story. They then explored the idea of telling a story through their picture. No drawn lines or marks were to be used and an action was to be included. The challenge was using strictly collage methods with now drawn lines or marks being shown.
