Part of the assignment encouraged students to include something in the background or scenery which represents where they are from, the way Rodrigue cuts off his sky and includes big Louisiana swamp oak trees. Zack has his magenta raven flying over a Summer Iowa corn field with bright yellow tassels and dirt rows that a country kid could explore like a maze.
