Madison, it looks like you turned lemons into lemonade with your beautiful work of art. I love the way you articulated your story on how you came to make this special piece. It doesn’t surprise me! You have a special gift when it comes to Artistic abilities. I loved how you thought of placing the little pumpkin inside! Great job????

Dear Madison. A beautiful work of art. The fluffy clouds seem to float off the paper. The sun with orange and yellow makes for a hot day at the beach. The birds add a lively touch. I love this picture. Love. Grandma

Hi Madison. Yes, the monster is very cute! I love the colors, and the face with a mustache and 2 "pupils" in each eye. To me, the monster in the middle is a kitty monster, with whiskers and a kitty-like tiny tongue. I love it! Love. Grandma

Hi Madison. I must be in a hungry mood, because the roof looks like chocolate ice cream drizzled with chocolate syrup, and the snow and stars look like sprinkles. Even the snow shovel looks like an ice cream spoon! Although this is a winter picture, it feels summerlike to me because of the hot colors of the sun and the ice cream. Delicious! Love. Grandma

Hi Madison. This is a nice interpretation of your earlier picture of jellyfish. The pieces are clearly defined, and the colors are beautiful. An interesting piece of art! Love. Grandma
- Chris on May 3, 2023

Hi Madison. I liked the light blue of the jellyfish contrasted with the dark red background. Those colors worked together well. I liked the movement of the tentacles, and I can feel the pulsing and propulsion of the jellyfishes' bodies. This artwork has movement and feels alive. Also, it reminds me of the jellyfish herd in "Finding Nemo"! Love. Grandma

Dear Madison. I am impressed by this picture on so many levels. The details of weather - sun, wind, clouds, snow - capture the range of your week at the cabin. I love the cabin's tiled roof and the warm feeling from the curtains at the window. I'm curious - why did you color the snowman red? I love it - this is a well designed and intriguing picture! Love. Dear Madison. What I especially like about this picture is the squirrel's eye. It looks so real! I also like the hole in the tree filled with, I assume, acorns for the winter. The paint splatters remind me of the blizzard of acorns falling and then needing to be raked up! Love your artwork and imagination! Love. Grandma

Hi Madison. Looking at your artwork reminds me of sharks swimming in the ocean. There is a lot of movement and depth in this picture, as the triangular"fins" crisscross in front and behind one another. Very imaginative! Love. Grandma

Dear Madison. Bloody Cave - to me, the name suggests Halloween and all the scary images associated with it. If it were summertime, perhaps a good name would be "Ruby Cave", since the red ruby is the gemstone connected to July. Keep on enjoying noticing and naming everything around you! Love. Grandma

Dear Madison, All art starts with an idea, and what makes it interesting to the viewer is what they can imagine it means. It's like each viewer creates their own interpretation or story of what they see. Art challenges and expands our minds! Love, Grandma

Dear Madison. This is one of my favorite art works that you have ever done! I love it because of its many gorgeous colors, its creativity and precision through using tape, and its feeling of a stained glass window in church. It also reminds me of the chalk art I did at your house at the time when Pepa and I watched you. I also love that it was done in partnership with your family. Absolutely beautiful! Love. Grandma
